<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of freedom of key input standby setting in a print system. <P>SOLUTION: The print system is provided with a print data generation means which generates print data including data in which the contents of a group of pages to be printed are described and a key input standby specification acceptance means which accepts specification regarding key input standby. The print system includes a printer host 30 which divides the group of pages to be printed into one or a plurality of groups on the basis of the accepted specification regarding the key input standby, performs setting regarding the key input standby to the groups, and includes information defining the groups and information about the setting regarding the key input standby in the print data, and a printer 10 which specifies a page to perform the key input standby according to the information defining the groups included in the print data and the information about the setting regarding the key input standby and performs the key input standby in the specified page after start of print processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
