<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method, an image forming system, an image forming data generator, an image forming apparatus and a computer program for shortening time up to starting to form an image by instructing and executing image formation preparation processing before generating image forming data. <P>SOLUTION: A printing data generator 1 extracts a name of a printer 2 from accepted print instruction (S2) when accepting the print instruction (S1), and extracts a connecting state of the extracted printer 2, and extracts a port number connected to the printer 2 (S5) when determining that the connecting state is online (S3 :YES). The printing data generator 1 generates a print preparation signal being indication information regulated for executing print preparation processing (S6), and transmits the signal to the printer 2 via a port of the port number extracted by S5 (S7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
