A seat, in particular for a vehicle, has an arcuate lumbar support (11) mounted on a back rest frame (10) by a lever mechanism (14,18) operable to move the lumbar support forwards or backwards or to tilt the lumbar support thereby to raise or lower the level at which it supports a seat occupant. A screwthread in the mechanism is spring-supported to reduce shock applied by the lumbar support. |
