The invention relates to a combination lock having rotatable setting discs (13) which are arranged on a shaft (3) and project through slots (14) of a lock-case front plate (2) and which are assigned blocking sleeves (6) which are in spring-loaded coupling engagement with them and which have on the collar circumferential recesses (7) which, when the secret code is correctly set, are located opposite projections (8) of a spring-loaded bolt member (9) (pivoting or sliding bolt), so that, in the opening position, the projections of the bolt member can penetrate into the recesses, each consisting of two bottom zones (a, b) which are roof-shaped relative to one another and extend transversely to the axis of the blocking sleeve in a secant-like manner and which extend together approximately over double the rotary-angle range of the setting discs which reaches from engagement position to engagement position, and proposes, for achieving a functionally reliable design which is simple in terms of production, that the recess (7) be arranged asymmetrically relative to the blocking-sleeve radial (R), one of the two straight-faced bottom zones (a, b) having a larger longitudinal dimension in the secant direction, and correspondingly the vertex (Sch) of the bolt-member projection (8) being arranged offset laterally in the direction of the shorter bottom zone (a, b) relative to the blocking-sleeve radial (R) located perpendicularly on the bolt member (9). <IMAGE>
