BILLET CENTERING AND CONTROL GUIDE FOR THE ENTRY GUIDE OF A PRESS-PIERCING MILL

A billet centering and control guide for an entry guide of a PPM is described, in which the control guide is of the rectilinear-tunnel type formed by two L-shaped parts which are hinged together about an axis parallel to the axis of the guide itself. The control guide can be opened essentially like a valve to allow the removal of a billet which may be trapped therein.
