The pneumatic post station, designed as a terminal station, has an input point (2) and an output point (3) and also a connection (1a) for the vertical introduction of a conveying pipeline (1). Arranged inside is a rotor (11) with a tube piece (7), which is open at one end and the other, closed end of which has an air outlet opening (8) and in the normal position of the rotor (11) is connected to an air line (22) which leads through the housing wall to the outside and can be closed off by means of a valve (12). The use of such stations in a pneumatic post conveying system permits a space-saving arrangement, while at the same time it is possible to discharge pneumatic post capsules gently, irrespective of their weight. <IMAGE>
