The invention relates to a method for indexing measurement values to be processed in a rotating multiple sensor having individual sensors which are distributed at peripheral axially predetermined distances on a rotor. The invention is mainly used in a flatness measuring roller with circulating force transducers. Whilst, in familiar manner, special measures are required for determining the time of measurement value processing when the application sectors of the rotor change, this is avoided according to the invention in that the measurement values are additionally differentiated during one rotation, and in that the continuously sensed measurement values are at least partially subjected to the further processing at the time at which their differentiation exhibits an extreme value. The amount of the extreme value is located between its maximum and its minimum or between its maximum and its zero value. Other sensors and transmitters for extracting the measurement value, must be omitted.
