PURPOSE: A power reducing apparatus is provided to prevent imbalances among three phases and harmonic waves generated from loads from flowing along a neutral line. CONSTITUTION: A power reducing apparatus comprises a reactor(20) including a core having first, second and third legs, and first, second, and third coils wound on the core, wherein the reactor is connected to a three-phase power system(10); a harmonic wave reducing element connected to the line between the power system and the reactor; and a reactor capacitor parallel circuit(30) connected to a neutral line. The first coil is wound on the top of the first leg and the bottom of the second leg, and connected to the neutral line, in such a manner that the first coil is wound on the bottom of the second leg in the direction opposite from the direction of the first coil wound on the first leg. The second coil is wound on the top of the second leg and the bottom of the third leg, and connected to the neutral line, in such a manner that the second coil is wound on the bottom of the third leg in the direction opposite from the direction of the second coil wound on the second leg. The third leg is wound on the top of the third leg and the bottom of the first leg, and connected to the neutral line, in such a manner that the third coil is wound on the bottom of the first leg in the direction opposite from the direction of the third coil wound on the third leg. The harmonic wave reducing element is a resistance inductor parallel circuit connected in serial to a capacitor. The reactor capacitor parallel circuit is arranged to have a small impedance with respect to the harmonic wave of a specific frequency. The harmonic wave reducing element has a small impedance with respect to the harmonic wave of a specific frequency. |
