PURPOSE:To process a transmission data at an ultrahigh speed with an equipment at a low speed by adding a dummy data to a cell with respect to the ATM cell synchronization system in an ultrahigh speed ATM transmission so as to convert the data into a data with a large parallel expansion number. CONSTITUTION:A dummy data insertion circuit 4 inserts dummy data to data DT subject to ATM transmission and the result is intermediate data DTI. A data arrangement circuit 6 detects a cell synchronization pattern from a pattern detection circuit 5 and recognizes a head of a cell based on a detection pulse SPP and a bit location detection signal (X, Y) to take cell synchronization. Moreover, the position of the dummy data is recognized by the inserted pulse DIP and the bit location detection signal (X, Y) to eliminate the dummy data from the cell. Thus, the data arrangement circuit 6 arranges the intermediate data DTI to an arranged data DTO having a prescribed expansion number (m). |
