摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the charging time, prevent a buckling of anode plate, and improve the charging efficiency by making the weight ratio of a sulfuric acid to a non-formation active material as a dilute sulfuric acid poured in a battery jar 0.2 to 0.5, and setting the temperature of the dilute sulfuric acid 20 to 35 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:In the formation of electrode plates for a lead-acid battery to carry out the formation of a battery jar by housing an electrode plate group which is composed by assembling non-formation electrodes furnished with non- formation active material, the weight ratio of the sulfuric acid to the non- formation active material as a dilute sulfuric acid to be poured to a battery jar is made 0.2 to 0.5. The temperature of the dilute sulfuric acid is made 20 to 35 deg.C, and the current is started to feed after the electrode plate group is left for 15 to 60min. in the dilute sulfuric acid, while the dilute sulfuric acid temperature after starting the current feeding is kept at 40 to 65 deg.C. As a result, not only the formation time is reduced and the amount of the lead sulfate remaining in the electrode plates is reduced, but also a generation of buckling of the anode plates can be prevented, and the efficiency of formation and the charging efficiency can be improved.
