<p>PURPOSE:To make press rollers exchangeable, to prevent wrinkling arising from higher speeds, broader widths and diversification of paper and to improve fixing performance and transporting performance by providing the plural press rollers in contact with a fixing roller and providing a means for turning the supporting plate thereof. CONSTITUTION:The fixing roller 1 is a metallic cylinder and is internally provided with a heat source 2. The outer peripheral surface of the fixing roller 1 is coated with a tetrafluoroethylene resin and is formed of a heat resistant release layer 1a. A temp. detecting element 7 is provided in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the fixing roller 1 and the heat source 2 is controlled by the detection signal thereof to control the surface temp. of the fixing roller 1. A separating pawl 6 is freely oscillatably and pivotally supported to a supporting member and its front end 6a is energized by a spring under a specified pressure to the fixing roller 1. The press rollers 3 to 5 are provided with heat resistant elastic layers around metallic arbors and are respectively pivotally fitted to the supporting plate 8. The supporting plate 8 is rotatable around a revolving shaft 9. The press rollers 3 to 5 in pressurized contact with the fixing roller 1 are exchanged by rotating the supporting plate 8.</p> |
