<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that tilt of a recording medium is undetectable with high accuracy and tilt in both directions of the radial direction and the tangential direction of the recording medium are undetectable and tilt is undetectable to an existing optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup is provided with light receiving elements 15, 16 which are provided at positions out of the optical path of the light beam reflected on the recording surface of an optical recording medium 14 so that their optical axes are symmetric in a direction orthogonal to the track of the recording medium 14 and which receive the light beam which is passed through an objective lens 13 and is reflected on the surface of the medium 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
