<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic card hardly fraudulently altering recorded balance or the like and to provide a device and method for processing the magnetic card. SOLUTION: A magnetic bar 3 for collection is formed of materials for reversibly it from soft magnetism into hard magnetism by ultraviolet irradiation. At the time of using a magnetic card, the magnetic bars for collation in a number corresponding to balance are irradiated with an ultraviolet ray so as to be hard-magnetized as necessary, magnetic information is written, and the balance information and other required information is written in a magnetic stripe 2. At the time of using the magnetic card the next time, the information of the magnetic stripe 2 and the magnetic bar 3 for collection is read. When the balance information of the magnetic stripe 2 <= the balance information decided by the hard-magnetized number of the magnetic bars 3 for collation, the magnetic card is judged to be true, and otherwise, it is judged to be false.</p> |
