<p>A method for enhancing access to CD-ROM's and the like stored in magazine has the steps of loading a CD-ROM into a CD-ROM reader (Fig 2, 26), reading the table of contents from the CD-ROM (Fig 2, 30), storing the table of contents in a non-volatile memory device (Fig 2, 32, 34), and storing the CD-ROM at a known location within the magazine (Fig 2, 36), data on the CD-ROM can subsequently be read without re-reading the table of contents thereof.</p> |
