Production of chloride granules for preparing haemodialysis fluids

Production of chloride granules for producing granules containing potassium, calcium and magnesium chlorides comprises comminuting the chlorides to a particle size of 0.5 mm, granulating them in a dry gas atmosphere to obtain granules with a particle size of 1-10 mm and a pore volume of > 25% and spraying the granules with acetic acid. The granules preferably have a pore volume of 37-60%. The chlorides are comminuted separately. The comminuted chlorides are granulated in a fluidised bed by spraying with a solvent, preferably water, and allowing the solvent to evaporate, preferably under vacuum. The solvent contains /- 1 chloride. The granules are transported from the fluidised bed in the absence of moisture and air. The granules are dried in a fixed bed, a shaft drier or a belt drier. The granules have fine pores on the inside and coarse pores on the outside. The granules are sprayed with acetic acid in a low-speed mixer under vacuum. Glucose can be mixed with the granules.
