PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject preventing or therapeutic agent useful for diseases associated with a sensitized T cell by including an interleukin-6(IL-6) antagonist as an active agent therein. SOLUTION: This preventing and therapeutic agent or a sensitized T cell suppressant is obtained by including an IL-6 antagonist as an active ingredient and is useful for diseases associated with a sensitized T cell (e.g. multiple sclerosis, uveitis, chronic thyroiditis, delayed anaphylaxis, contact dermatitis or atopic dermatitis). The IL-6 antagonist is a substance capable of blocking the information transmission with the IL-6 and inhibiting biological activities of the IL-6. For example, an anti-IL-6 antibody (e.g. a monoclonal antibody or a polyclonal antibody), an anti-IL-6 receptor antibody (e.g. an MR16-1 antibody or a PM-1 antibody), an anti-gp130 antibody, a modified antibody (e.g. an recombinant tape antibody, a chimeric antibody or a humanized antibody) and a partial peptide of the IL-6 or an IL-6 receptor are cited as the IL-6 antagonist. |
