PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain such a compsn. that when a filter plate of a particulate trap is to be adhered, generation of residual stress is suppressed and durability and strength are obtd. by compounding a binder component consisting of polyvinylalcohol, water and an org. binder essentially comprising cellulose ether into a ceramic aggregate. SOLUTION: It is preferable that the ceramic aggregate has a substantially same coefft. of thermal expansion as that of a ceramic member to be used for adhesion, and that the aggregate consists of a powder of cordierite compsn. containing feldspar. The powder contains 98 to 7 wt.% cordierite and 2 to 30 wt.% feldspar. The ceramic aggregate has preferably <=70 mesh grain size. The adhesive compsn. is applied between the ceramic members is a thick paste state. The binder component consists of 1 to 13 wt.% polyvinylalcohol, 1 to 12 wt.% cellulose ether, and 75 to 98 wt.% water, and the compsn. consists of 55 to 90 wt.% ceramic aggregate and 45 to 10 wt.% binder component. |
