PURPOSE: A connecting device of pipes is provided to easily and firmly fasten a nut by reducing a frictional area formed by rotation of the nut by improving combination of a connecting pipe with a connecting unit into an irregularity state and forming pressure protrusions in the inner wall of the nut or in a narrow ring of the connecting unit body. CONSTITUTION: A recessed groove(11) is formed in a portion of a connecting pipe(A), and an outer end(4a) of a narrow ring(4) is accurately placed in the recessed groove. Upon strongly fastening a nut(5) with a connecting screw(3), an inclined face(7) of the nut pushes the outer end of the narrow ring into the recessed groove. Then, the outer end is deformed and firmly settled state of the outer end and the recessed groove is retained. As packing ring(10) is adhered to the connecting pipe, closure is realized at two parts. Thus, closure area is enlarged and closure effect to a fluid is improved. As the recessed groove enhances a settling force, a strong holding force of the recessed groove avoids displacement of a pipe joint although a strong tensile force is applied from another end of the connecting pipe. Further, a frictional area between the inclined face and the narrow ring is reduced and a force for manipulating a tool is reduced.
