PURPOSE: An abbreviated dialing method for telephone is provided to enable a user to use a hot key on a telephone by sensing a voice signal for automatic response and stored numbers necessary for abbreviated dialing method. In addition, the method is provided to enable the user to use the abbreviated dialing lock function by using a master key. CONSTITUTION: An abbreviated dialing method comprises setting up a storage mode and a storage address according to button operation of a user, memorizing a button designated by the user and a pushed number, storing telephone numbers at the storage address, setting up a waiting time based on a predetermined button signal inputted by the user, storing predetermined numbers at an address designated by the button, and sending up the telephone numbers stored at the storage address, wherein the numbers are sequentially sent from a detection point of time of a voice signal for response after waiting for the waiting time and a sending order of the numbers.
