PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a 1-(2-benzothiazole)alkylamine derivative from a 2-aminothiophenol derivative in a high yield on an industrial scale without causing pollution or the like. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a substituted alkylamine derivative expressed by general formula (3) comprises the following steps: a salt of a 2-aminothiophenol derivative expressed by general formula (1) is freed by adding the salt into an acid to control the pH at <=6; and subsequently the product is allowed to react with an amino acid-N-carboxy anhydride expressed by general formula (2) [in formula (2) R1 and R2 are each independently a (phenol-substituted) alkyl or H; and R1 and R2 together may form a 5-6 membered ring; and in formula (3), X is a halogen atom or the like; and n is an integer of 1-4].
