PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality image active matrix type display device and an active matrix type organic EL display device in which adverse effect of jump in voltage noise caused by parasitic capacitors of a pixel transistor is reduced. SOLUTION: In an active matrix type organic EL display device, let Cso be the sum of a capacitor Cs of a holding capacitor 23 in a TFT 22 gate and an inter-gate/source capacitor Cgs1 of the TFT 22, Vdata be the amplitude of the gate potential of the TFT 22, Cp be the parasitic capacitor of another TFT 24 connected to the gate of the TFT 22, ΔVscan be its voltage amplitude and n be the display gradation number. Then, it is set so that the capacitor 23 has a capacitive value Cs which satisfies the condition of Cp/(Cso+ Cp)}×(ΔVscan/Vdata)<1/n. |
