Energy optimization method for IC engine combustion process using reduced pressure stage for increasing pressure ratio of combustion process upon reduction of output pressure

The energy optimization method is used for an IC engine in combination with an exhaust gas turbine and a gas turbine, with a reduced pressure stage used for increasing the pressure ratio of the combustion process upon a reduction in the output pressure relative to the atmospheric pressure. The kinetic energy of the exhaust gas flow is extracted before entry to the reduced pressure stage via a conical cooling pipe, with waste heat recovery within the reduced pressure stage. An independent claim for a waste heat recovery method is also included.
