PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact disk cartridge that has a few components and that can be assembled easily. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge comprises upper and lower cases. The upper and lower cases are formed nearly into a circular shape, and the accommodation section of disks is divided by overlapping them with each other. The disk cartridge is opened or closed by relatively rotating the upper and lower cases with a movable point, provided in the upper and/or the lower cases as a starting point, and an information recording disk is accommodated or taken out, while the disk cartridge is open. Additionally, the disk cartridge has an engagement section for engaging the upper and lower cases each other, and an opening for exposing the center section and information recording surface of the information recording disk on the surface of at least one of the upper and lower cases.
