PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention device, which can surely prevent at least deactivation of an alarm means due to unsetting of an alarm mode by mistake when locking a door lock and going out, and which can surely operate an alarm means in case of forcible entry. SOLUTION: The alarm mode is activated only by locking the door lock and moving a dead bolt to a locking position. When the dead bolt is moved from the locking position to an unlocking position, a timer circuit 3 is set on the basis of a detection signal from a door sensor 1. A siren 4 and flasher 5 are operated when the time is up by the timer circuit 3. In that case, the timer circuit 3 is reset by operating a reset circuit 6 by the time of the timer circuit is up, so that the operation of the siren 4 and operation of flasher 5 are released, thus the alarm mode is released.
