PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manual workload of maintaining handling integrity of a function published and referred to between a plurality of software items in linking a plurality of software components. SOLUTION: A linking tool 20 in a personal computer 1 works to store correspondences between specified functions referred to by referring components and corresponding referring components as reference information in a storage device, and to search the reference information for the referring components corresponding to a specified function disclosed by a publishing component. Specifically, the referring components that refer to the function disclosed by the publishing component are found. The processing contents of the referring components are then updated.
