PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific point direction displaying compass device for a portable terminal capable of indicating a specific point direction, especially, the direction to Mecca, on the basis of an optional position of a user and a display method therefor. SOLUTION: This device comprises; a keyboard part 100 for inputting positional information, a control instruction, a dialing signal, and data information to a portable terminal; a control part 200 for calculating and outputting the direction of Mecca; a storage part 300 that stores and outputs information including place name information, digital map information, and Mecca information; an arithmetic part 400 that inputs/calculates present positional information, positional information of Mecca, and azimuth information to perform direction operation and compass operation; an earth magnetism part 500 that calculates and outputs the azimuth of a current position by the earth magnetism; a wireless part 600 that transmits and receives communication signals by radio connection to and from a mobile communication base station; and a display part 700 that displays the position of Mecca in the compass direction and displays application information of the portable terminal.
