PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection means which detects unauthorized opening/closing of a cash supplementation and collection safe by correctly determining whether the safe is opened while cash is being carried from a cash processing device or the like. SOLUTION: The detection means is provided with the cash supplementation and collection safe which has a safe-storage part and carries the cash in the store of a financial institution, the cash processing device installed in the store, an automatic transaction device which makes transactions with a customer, and a monitor terminal which monitors information on the balance in the automatic transaction device in the store. A date and time when the number of bills filled in the supplementation and collection safe is confirmed, and a data and time when the door of the cash supplementation and collection safe is opened, are stored in the safe-storage part of the cash supplementation and collection safe. Then a device at a transportation destination determines that the door of the safe is opened during the transportation of the cash by detecting the storage of a date and time, when the door of the safe is opened after the date and time when the number of the bills filled in the safe is confirmed, in the safe-storage part of the cash supplementation and collection safe mounted on the device at the transportation destination.
