<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag neck tying device capable of maintaining precise synchronization of the sub-assembly parts of the tying device over tying cycles. <P>SOLUTION: The bag neck tying device comprises a ribbon supply source for distributing ribbon strands, a holder-shear assembly for holding the free end of the ribbons, a needle assembly for being engaged with the center part of the ribbon for positioning, a torsion assembly having a hook adjacent to the holder-shear assembly, an electric motor having drive shafts connected to the assemblies respectively, an encoder connected to respective drive shafts, a closed loop control circuit connected to the motor and the encoder for monitoring the position and arrangement of the assemblies during the tying cycles, and a controller connected to the closed loop control circuit for controlling the movement of respective assemblies relative to respective other assemblies in response to the electric signals received from the closed loop control circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
