<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive circuit for turning off a drive transistor at timing for stopping the motor, and to provide an integrated circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The motor drive circuit includes a plurality of drive transistors connected to a motor coil for supplying current to the motor coil to stop the motor by short circuiting the motor coil by turning on the plurality of the drive transistors. The motor drive circuit includes a reference voltage generator for generating a reference voltage, a comparing circuit for comparing the voltage of the side in which the motor coil is short-circuited with the reference voltage, and a stop control circuit for short-circuiting the motor coil by turning on the plurality of the drive transistors based on an indication signal for stopping the motor and thereafter releasing the short circuit of the motor coil by turning off the plurality of the drive transistors based on change in the comparison result of the comparing circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
