<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce malfunction by eliminating stress application to a transparent electrode and repeated stress without degrading visibility of a display device. <P>SOLUTION: A user inputs characters with an input pen 1 by handwriting. A magnet 2 is fixed to a front end of the input pen 1. A cursor is displayed in position coordinates pointed by the input pen 1, on a display device. A screen 4 protects the display device 3. A substrate 5 has the display device 3 and the screen 4 mounted thereon.
