Electric motor has a magnet ring (8), and a printed circuit board (10) that extends in a plane and lies perpendicularly to a rotation axis (R) of a rotor. The printed circuit board has a sensor (12), e.g. Hall-sensor, to detect magnetic field associated with a position of the rotor. The sensor is closely attached at an outer side (14) of the printed circuit board and extends the outer side in a straight line.
