The valve operating mechanism consists of two tubes (1,2) comprising orifices (3,4) for the admission of fresh gas and the exhaust of burnt gases towards the cylinder head orifices by means of valves (9,10). Sealing is ensured by the valves and flexible metallic joints (13).
