A system and a method for providing a foreign currency remittance service are provided to automatically process foreign currency remittance according to registered information if a remittance amount is deposited to a remittance-only account. A remittance-only account of a remitter is opened only for the foreign currency remittance to a foreign bank account of a recipient. A database(30) stores information of the remittance-only account of the recipient and foreign bank account information of the recipient linked with the remittance-only account of the recipient. A remittance processor includes a remittance-only account monitor(42) monitoring reception of the remittance amount to the remittance-only account, a central processor(46), and a remittance processor(48). The central processor controls the foreign currency remittance to the foreign bank account of the recipient based on the information stored in the database whenever the reception of the remittance amount is checked. The remittance processor remits the remittance amount to the foreign bank account by control of the central processor. |
