An urgency rescue relief apparatus for vehicles and a control method thereof are provided to inform a rescue party of a signal of distress by operating a floating and sending the signal of distress. A floating driving part(70) is installed on an upper end of a vehicle and opens a floating enclosure in response to a control signal. A collision detecting part(50) has plural collision sensors provided on the vehicle to measure and output collision intensity. An air pump driving part(80) introduces a helium gas into a floating under the control. A position measuring part measures a present position of the vehicle. A storage unit(20) stores a reference collision value therein. A controller(10) operates the floating driving unit to open the floating envelope if the measured collision intensity excesses the reference collision value.
