<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high luminous-efficiency compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp capable of suppressing the increase of the starting voltage and reducing the size and a luminaire using the compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp. <P>SOLUTION: A compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp comprises a base 1; a holder 2a provided on the base 1; a fluorescent lamp 3 made by bending each of a plurality of glass tubes 41 at the top part 43 to have a pair of base end parts 42, curving each intermediate portion 44 positioned between the base end part and the top part to one side so that the outer diameters B of the top and the intermediate parts are greater than the outer diameter A of the base end part, locating the base end parts around the central axis x-x, facing each intermediate part 44 to the outside perpendicularly to the central axis, connecting the glass tubes so as to form one discharge path for constituting a bulb 4, and supporting the bulb by a holder 2a; and a lighting circuit device 7 mounted on the holder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
