<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight capable of preventing rattling noise by surely fixing a light guide plate to a frame regardless of change of a temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: A metal frame 4 supports LEDs 3, and stores the light guide plate 2. The LEDs 3 are attached to a sidewall 4a of the metal frame 4. Ribs 8 for a long side projecting from the sidewall 4a side to a sidewall 4c side, and a rib 9 for a short side projecting from a sidewall 4b side to a sidewall 4d side are attached to the metal frame 4. Both the ribs 8 for a long side and the rib 9 for a short side are attached to the metal frame 4 to have elasticity, and press the light guide plate 2 toward the sidewall 4c and the side wall 4d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
