METHOD OF TRACING MOBILE TERMINAL AND REPORTING MOBILE TERMINAL TRACE RESULT IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL USING THE SAME

A method for tracing an MS(Mobile Station) in a mobile communication system, a method for reporting a trace result, and an MS using the same are provided to guarantee the exactness of a trace result by practically executing a trace for an MS. An EM(Element Manager) appoints trace start information including the unique identification information of an MS and necessary parameters for tracing(S210). The EM transmits the trace start information to every NE(Network Element)(S220). Each NE collects and stores trace-associated information, such as call origination, and location registration(S230). In case an NE judges that another NE related to the NE exists, the NE transmits stored information to the related NE(S240,S250). An NE, which has collected or received trace-associated information, judges whether it is an RNC(Radio Network Controller)(S260). If so, the NE judges whether a trace target list contains the MS(S270). If so, the NE judges whether all the MSs connected to a node-B under its management have been appointed(S280). If not, the NE judges whether call tracing should be executed at once(S290). If so, the NE transmits associated information to the MS through a trace control message(S300).
