The circuit has a three-bridge power inverter (01) with intermediate circuit potentials (16, 17) connected with an emergency operation supply device (03) over an emergency operation-network-switching unit (12). A direct current motor (04) is connected either with the inverter or with the supply device over an emergency operation-motor-switching unit. A stopping brake (07) is connected either with the inverter or with the supply device over an emergency operation-brake-switching unit (14), where the supply device has a single battery or multiple batteries. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a control circuit.
