New composites (I), of filler and pigment in polymer matrix type, contain (a) at least one of thermoplastics, high performance plastics and/or epoxy resins and (b) titanium dioxide (TiO 2) of average crystal size d 5 0 less than 350 (preferably 3-50) nm, optionally having an (in)organically modified surface. An independent claim is included for the production of (I), by producing a masterbatch from (b) and part of (a), then diluting with (a) while dispersing.
