PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traction control device capable of providing sufficient starting acceleration when no slip occurs. SOLUTION: The traction control device for a vehicle is provided with a wheel speed detection means for detecting wheel speed; an acceleration detection means for detecting forward/backward acceleration based on acceleration applied to the vehicle; a vehicle body speed calculation means for calculating vehicle body speed based on the forward/backward acceleration during all-wheel driving; and a wheel speed suppressing means for comparing the wheel speed with the vehicle body speed and suppressing the wheel speed when a slip making the wheel speed larger than the vehicle body speed is detected. The traction control device for the vehicle is further provided with an acceleration estimating means for estimating forward/backward acceleration based on drive output of the vehicle and with an acceleration selecting means for comparing the detected forward/backward acceleration of the vehicle with the forward/backward acceleration estimated based on the vehicle drive output and selecting the larger forward/backward acceleration as the forward/backward acceleration of the vehicle.
