PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abrasion by increasing the structural strength of a tire. SOLUTION: A belt structure is formed of a band-like part (5) during the manufacture of the tire, and each band-like part (5) includes parallel cords (16) which are incorporated into an elastomer layer and continuously arranged on a toroidal support (3) in such a constitution as to be circumferentially adjacent to each other. According to this invention, in the band-like part (5), at least one relatively small side part is imparted so as not to be circumferentially aligned with a relatively small side part corresponding to at least one of the band-like parts (5) circumferentially adjacent to each other. Consequently, the cords (16) in the side region of the belt structure of the thus obtained radial tire have uneven density. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
