PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine cutting manufacturing method for a half-cut ring member, which sets a heat treatment condition so as to reduce a heat-treated deformation amount upon dividing the ring member into two pieces by machine processing before being manufactured by heat treatment. SOLUTION: A ring member 1 is obtained from a raw material in a lathing process. The ring member 1 is divided into two half-round members 1a by machine processing in a machine cutting process. The half-round members 1a are thermally treated in a heat treatment process. The ring member 1 then has no residual stress caused by heat treatment during the machine cutting process and is high in a fracture toughness value because of the raw material, thereby preventing rapture from taking place in the middle.
