PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute uniform ignition by providing a pair of electrodes shaped to be long longitudinally in a hollow part formed in a propellant and by shifting plasma to the depth of the propellant along the electrodes. SOLUTION: In the present ignition device for the propellant, the longitudinally long electrode means having a metal leaf or the like is inserted directly into the slender hollow part (9) of the propellant (3). A current being supplied, the metal leaf or the like is melted thereby and the plasma is generated by an arc discharge, so as to ignite the propellant (3). |
