A computer implemented method (300) of classifying a blob (2030) in a blob image segmentation (2000) of an image as a shared blob, from said blob image segmentation and a corresponding labelled segmentation (2000) of the image, wherein said image comprises 5 visual elements, the method comprising the steps of: determining an initial collection of labels of visual elements in the blob from the labelled segmentation; determining (1810) a collection of shared labels from the initial collection which correspond to at least one label in an initial collection of labels of visual elements for at least one blob other than the blob in the blob image segmentation; and classifying (1830) the blob as the shared blob, dependent upon (a) a 10 number of labels in the collection of shared labels, and (b) a number of labels in the initial collection of labels.
