PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food taking method in which an effect provided by food containing useful components derived from Gramineae plant seeds is maximally enhanced.SOLUTION: In a food taking method of the present invention, food containing a peak component in distribution chromatography of alcohol extract from Gramineae plant seeds as an active ingredient is fed to a living body requiring the food within 4 hours after awakening from a sleep. The Gramineae plant is preferably Triticum. The alcohol is preferably ethanol.
