PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoacoustic device that is capable of suppressing turbulence of a liquid level of a sound matching material held by a probe.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device has: multiple elements for receiving a photoacoustic wave from an area of interest of a subject 1107 and outputting an electric signal; a probe 1103 for supporting the multiple elements 1108 so as to make directional axes gather and holding a sound matching material 1109; a scanning unit 1102 for moving the probe; a control unit 1101; and a processing unit 1000 for generating image data of the area of interest by using the electric signal. In the subject information acquisition device, the control unit performs photoacoustic measurement for making the multiple elements receive a photoacoustic wave concerning the same area of interest several times while moving the probe in a curved locus, and moves the probe in the same rotation direction as the curved locus between each time of the photoacoustic measurement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
