The present invention relates to an emergency management system and method using a smartphone and a wearable device, and more specifically, to an emergency management system which measures acceleration and angular velocity values with an acceleration sensor and a gyro sensor formed on a wearable device and transmits a phone call, message, and location information to a contact pre-input to a smartphone when emergency occurs. The emergency management system comprises: a signal measurement unit; a signal processing unit for sampling and filtering the acceleration and angular velocity values; a signal calculation unit for calculating standard deviation and an average signal size with the filtered acceleration and angular velocity values; an emergency determination unit for determining emergency if a motion change rate of a specific frequency band calculated by using the standard deviation and average signal size is greater than or equal to a reference value; and a signal transmission unit for allowing the wearable device to transmit an emergency signal to the smartphone by using Bluetooth communications when the emergency is determined. |
