The method for producing a conjugated diene according to one aspect of the present invention is provided with a step for bringing a raw material gas that contains an olefin into contact with a dehydrogenation catalyst to obtain a product gas that contains a conjugated diene. In this production method, the dehydrogenation catalyst contains Al, a group 14 metal element, and Pt, and the group 14 metal element content in terms of oxide in the dehydrogenation catalyst is 9-50 mass% based on the total mass of the dehydrogenation catalyst.
