The discussion assistance device according to the present invention is characterized by being provided with: a storage unit which stores diagram-rendering information that includes information about nodes representing events, information about causal links connecting events, and information about loops connecting nodes and links in a circular manner, and that also includes the attributes of the nodes, the attributes of the links, and the attributes of the loops, with these attributes being associated with the nodes and links; and a control unit which, on the basis of the attributes of the nodes, the attributes of the links, and the attributes of the loops, extracts at least one of a plurality of loops as a part for which a solution is to be sought, then highlights the extracted loop, and indicates a solution on the basis of the attributes of the extracted loop, the attributes of the nodes included in the extracted loop, and the attributes of the links included in the extracted loop. |
