<p>A bottle top seal (1), made from plastic is used to close the bottle after the original pressed-on sealing cap has been removed. The replacement seal has an internal flange (8) on the collar (13) which can be forced over the external rim (7) on the bottle top. A tapered clamp ring is then screwed over the external thread on the seal collar (2), so that its leading taper radially compresses the matching taper on the collar (13). A cylindrical sleeve (4) with a screw cap (19) is also provided in order to pour out the bottle content.</p> |
